Dear Community Member:

This year’s Mayor’s Sunday is Funday will be the 19th annual event that brings our community together for an afternoon of fun and sharing what’s going on in Rio Rancho. In 2023, well over 6000 of our neighbors came together to enjoy one of the coolest and most exciting events of the summer which has received the Rio Rancho Readers Favorite Charity Event Award. Our theme this year is “Go Green Rio Rancho”.  This event is coordinated by the Rio Rancho Kiwanis Club for the benefit of our community.

Please consider sponsoring this event and join us August 18, 2024 from noon to 4:00pm at Haynes Park and Pool. 

You’ll find many exciting events and musical entertainment, along with budget friendly food, at this fun family style picnic. We are planning on fun yet safe events and activities. We had over 140 interesting vendor booths in 2023 that were a big part of the fun. During the event you can take a dip in the pool and visit the silent auction in the air conditioned Haynes Park Community Center. The many beautiful shade trees will provide a great atmosphere and break from the heat. 

Preparations are currently underway for this amazing Mayor’s Sunday is Funday event. Individual and business sponsors have an opportunity to participate and, together, will contribute to the growth and success of this community event. Free and handicap parking will be available at designated parking lots. Free Parking and Free shuttles will be available at parking nearby.

TheMayor’s Sunday is Funday is sponsored and coordinated by the Rio Rancho Kiwanis Club; and partner community service organizations. After paying event expenses, proceeds will benefit youth programs in Rio Rancho.
